The Post Chicken & Beer - Estes Park

Unfortunately this place is only open until 9 so be sure to put it on your list! Great menu items- GREAT fried chicken! We watched the Final Four game here because the TV's were larger! I asked for their mac & cheese w/ bacon & the server said 'no problem'- it was a hit! Their mac was creamy & cheesy, just how I like it! The bartender with a rose tattoo on his hand deserves a raise. He was such a great team member to everyone around & also made sure things were going great w/ us. Tons of outdoor seating w/ heaters & there's even a few shows in the basement of this place that you definitely want to know about!*

Beautiful new place! We went for happy hour on Thursday, sat at the bar and had some delicious small appetizer plates. The beer was decent. The only reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because I went the next day with another friend for dinner and it was pretty pricey even for Estes. My friend got a chicken strip basket and a beer and his total was over $30 with tip. I got a small side salad and fried chicken thigh for $16. Also, the bathroom downstairs is a bit of an inconvenience.

I'm usually a big fan of Post Chicken and went to this branch as soon as it opened and it was great. No idea what happened but the quality has gone downhill fast. The chicken was tough, stringy and didn't even seem like the same cut or flavour. The 'breadcrumb/batter' was completely different and not a patch on Lafayette or our previous visit here in Estes. Unless I hear it's upped it's game again we won't be returning despite the epic location.

Wonderful experience! Very cool design and atmosphere. The manager and bartender were so friendly and made sure we were taken care of from the start. The drinks were made well and the food was absolutely delicious. I was very impressed with how hard the employees worked while keeping a positive attitude.

Beautiful restaurant outside the Stanley Hotel. Super friendly staff and I really appreciate the team player mentality throughout the restaurant. Food is really good. Our only complaint was the chicarrones appetizer with hummus…barely anything to dip in the hummus. A few carrots and celery with bread slices and very little chicken skins. We were eating the hummus with our forks as to not waste it. Otherwise a must stop!
