Smokin Fins - Fort Collins

From the moment we walked it it felt classy, yet laid back. Our server Ryan Burns was professional and friendly. The sushi is the ABSOLUTE best I have ever had. The plates were gorgeous and delicious!.. If I could give 10 stars I would.. I was too full to try the dessert. Definitely coming back as often as POSSIBLE.

We've been to Smokin' FIns several times since they opened, each time several months apart (we keep forgetting about it since we don't get to the mall that often). But each time we've left pleasantly surprised at how good it was. While the traditional seafood entrees (with a bit of Southwestern kick) have been great, the real surprise has been the sushi. They don't have a huge selection (nine specialty rolls), but we've tried several and they've all been excellent; and the last couple of times we've gone just for the sushi. About the only negative (more of a warning) is that many of their dishes are heavily seasoned and/or fairly spicy. I like that, and there are certainly choices that are not spicy if you don't; but if you are trying to avoid spicy then your choices will be somewhat limited.

Fun restaurant with great service!

The menu is very diverse, it has something for everyone. My wife 4 children and myself were in Fort Collins (we live in Wyoming now, originally from Huntington Beach, Ca.) doing some business and were craving some seafood. We arrived Saturday night without reservations and the staff did everything possible to accommodate a party of 6. We all ate sushi. The quality of the seafood was so good that I ordered oysters on the half shell. Again exceptional so I ordered more for myself, aswell as my wife and children had oysters for the first time and loved them.
If I have any critique it's that if you are used to traditional (less is more) sushi, you may find them a little heavy handed on the sauces.

Had an amazing experience at Smokin Fins! The owner is very present and walks around to greet the guests. The food is great! And our waitress was very accommodating since we had to be at a movie at a certain time. We reserved online which I strongly recommend. It saves your food preferences and gives other super cool features! Our new fave sushi place!!

LOVE this place. The food is delicious, and service has always been top notch! My boyfriend and I have been here a few times now and have gotten the same server. Shout out to Allie for providing spectacular service! I've worked in foodservice before and know it's not always an easy gig, but Allie sure seems to enjoy it and makes dining there a fun experience for her guests. Food is consistently delicious as well, and be sure to check out their happy hour!
