Burger Boy Drive In

Super fun and nostalgic drive in! I've been told it's one of the oldest restaurants in Cortez.

When you pull in you can pull into a numbered slot. Or you can park and walk up to the few tables they have. After pulling in, someone will come to your car (there is no button you push, you just pull in. Someone will come and take your order as soon as possible. Timing is everything. Lol. I went right at noon. It was very busy but my order was taken in a timely fashion.

As a rookie visitor I had questions, the car hop/waitress was very friendly and she answered all of my questions without making me feel dumb.

I ordered their "shroomster" - mushroom and Swiss burger. A small fry (which felt more like a medium - perfect size for 1 person) and a Dr.Pepper.

It took about 15-20 minutes to get my food - but again it was at noon and I'll say you could tell this was fresh cooked!!!

Food was SOOOO YUMMY! I will be eating here again. I was pleasantly surprised that though this was a burger joint drive in ..the food was not overly greasy. I really enjoyed that the mushrooms and onions were freshly cooked and not overcooked. Crinkle cut fries were also done to perfection.

Overall...I recommend this location to anyone and will definitely be a repeat customer!!

Totally worth the U-turn I had to make to get there. The car-hop part was fantastic. Service and food were excellent. Eat here.

We are staying in Cortez for vacation and are pretty disappointed overall with food choices but so far Burger Boys has been the best place. Our kids were happy to have good food!

There's tons of parking all around the restaurant. They come to your car for you to order the food. We waited a little bit for our food but it wasn't too long. The cheeseburgers were excellent, my kids were especially big fans! I wanted to try the green chili burger but was worried it would be to spicy since I haven't had it before. The lady who took our order was really nice and put it on the side for me. I ended up really liking it although it was slightly spicy for me.

The sweet potato fries are really good and crispy! This is a great place for a low cost, quick and delicious meal.

I love this place. I’m addicted to Burger Boys breakfast burritos. I’ve had a few green chili burritos in my day. Burger Boy has my all time favorite. Hash browns, cheese, sausage, green chilies, jalapeños, grilled onions. No eggs. These guys are the best! The waitresses are super friendly and hard working. Make sure you take care of ‘em. Closed Saturday mornings and all day Sunday.
