Always has great greasy good food, always had since it was back in Aspen Park. Must try if never have. Kinda weird not seeing it there anymore but glad they moved it instead of closing it. Kinda made it like a little boardwalk
This unique local gem is a must-stop! I love that they source Colorado, natural fare (even the Ketchup), and it's a perfect place to spend a nice afternoon outside on their deck when you're craving a hot dog. Just know that the local ground squirrels and chipmunks are very used to getting fed and will certainly be at your feet to beg! Make sure you read up on the history of this building and how it was moved from it's previous location! But I can remember seeing this iconic and fun building all through my childhood. It's something your own children definitely won't forget.
This place is fun and cute! Locally sourced craft hot dogs give you more than what you expect, but as a result a but on the expensive side so be prepared for that. My greatest feedback is the location is lacking. We headed out there from Aurora for a day trip only to find there was nothing else to do there. There was a cute shop next door but it was closed. Great photo op and fun to see but make sure it's just a stop, not a destination.
We loved this place. Nothing like I expected and so cool. The staff are friendly and quirky, everybody working there gave my family a good chuckle. It is a rustic little place, that on first appearances looks like a just another small town tourist trap, that would be selling the same worn out canned, processed, junk you find at every other roadside place, but looks and prejudgment can be so wrong in this case, the food was all delicious and more top shelf, they make things with care, local and or homemade. The French fries are better then most I have ever had and they have delicious buns! This is not fast food. This is not like everywhere else and they are unapologetic about it. The grounds are beautiful but old. The bathrooms are also so clean for a place right off the highway, most places are nasty. This place is truly a hidden gem, highly recommend for those who do not want the same things everywhere they go. By the way, get a strawberry malt, if you know what’s good for you.
