Steamboat Lake Outpost

Been eating here every year since we started camping in the area.
Food was amazing!

Not cheap, but you're near Steamboat Springs. Fantastic pulled pork Cubano, sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection, nice hazy ale on tap.

Best spot north of Steamboat to get something to eat and relax. Friendly folks behind the counter, and a great menu. Worth stopping in!

Steamboat Lake Outpost is in a great location for snowmobiling right out your front door (probably good for summer OHV as well). They have a gas pump on site with premium ethanol free fuel. Hopefully with the new ownership they can get the credit card readers fixed so you don't have to go inside to leave a card to fill up.

Part of our group stayed in two of the cabins and the others stayed in one of the motel room. The cabins had good appliances and the kitchens were well equipped. The motel room was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. Our stay was before they finished the restaurant for spring 2022.

The motel rooms have individual water heaters. The showers work fine but if you aren't time/water conscious. You may have to wait a bit for the water heater to fill & heat as the heater is kinda small. Dont expect to be able to take a bath. The showers do have a body wash/ shampoo/ conditioner dispenser on the wall in the shower.

Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars were the beds. The mattresses could be replaced as the old beds were a little bouncy.
