Views were amazing! Lodge lobby area is very nice and clean... didn't use many of the amenities but had a restaurant and spa on location. One tip if going during snowy season don't follow GPS there is a paved entrance to the lodge a little further down.
Positives: Excellent view and friendly staff
Negatives: Overpriced, Outdated, Very small bathroom
Overall, our stay here was okay. My biggest issue with this place was that it was extremely overpriced for what it offered. We stayed in the Mountain King Junior Suite and it was disappointing for $489 a night. The room is very outdated, the bathroom is very small and the room was really hot. You are basically only paying for the view because otherwise there are better places to stay in Breck for a cheaper price and nicer rooms + amenities.
This is my second time staying at this property and a 5 star review is certainly in order. The location isn't the only thing great about this lodge, the staff is incredible. Garrett (front desk) was beyond accommodating from the moment we arrived, from a quick seamless check-in, to delivering a much needed bottle of wine! He made us feel very welcomed and "at home". The rooms were spotless and well appointed with that "lodge feel". I had the opportunity to indulge at the onsite restaurant Traverse, with an amazing view of the mountains, the food, libations, and service were excellent. Probably one of the best menus I've seen in my travels. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Good job and well deserved.
The property is ok. There's nothing amazing or terrible about it. The price is ridiculous. The location is pretty convenient and parking is easy. The room has great views of the mountain, it's very warm (but comfortable), but it's dated and has nasty carpet. Bathroom is also pretty dated and small. For the price, I expected more.
The grab and go breakfast is super convenient, but they could do better and have more options and more substance because after all, I was paying $600/night.
Overall, I'd stay here again as a last option (which was the case this time around).
My husband and I decided to take a trip to Breckenridge before Christmas eve along with my brother-in-law and found The Lodge. We were so happy we were able to book it because it truly was a wonderful stay. We were in and out of the hotel all night because we were out watching the snow fall and came across several cute and well behaved pups. We loved that there was coffee for us at the lobby and a nice toasty fireplace to sit by and just relax. The room was big, comfy and clean with a wonderful view of the mountains. I tried food from The Traverse and everything was delicious. Breakfast is grab-n-go, but there are plenty of options for you to choose from. We'll definitely come back and stay here again.
