I have been a patron of Miners since 2007. Many establishments have come and gone in those years. Miners has never tried to fit in or be hip.
Great food, great music, great vibe.
Miner's Tavern is a great, local spot for burgers, fries, and beer. Honestly the best burgers and fries around. Their fries are fresh and amazing. The grilled chicken sandwich is also pretty good, if you want something lighter.
The rest of their menu is limited and everything else we've tried is just alright, even sometimes weird. Like when my Mother in Law got the crispy chicken sandwich and it was two chicken fingers on a bun. That was sort of weird.
For 6 years now, I have wished they would get a kids' menu. The only kid option is the half order of chicken fingers. I realize they're a Tavern and probably don't want to be more kid-friendly. But, it's Erie. This is where the people with kids can afford to live. And since babysitters here cost more than my soul is worth, making an adult-only Tavern dinner impossible, maybe just do us a solid and offer some kids' meals? I'm sure they have a strong client base and don't need to adjust the menu to suit the changing town...not yet, at least.
The owner is fantastic, and the staff have always been great. Even with the lack of food options and kid menus, we will still be back constantly. Until my kids finally refuse to eat another Miner's Tavern chicken finger...
Awesome place! Really enjoyed the food and drinks! Got a chance to meet the owners even and it was really cool experience. Will definitely be back!
Exceptional and delightful food, I liked the mood this place has, and the staff members were very kind. I will definitely visit here again.
Seriously, best value in a great burger on the Front Range. Rolling Rock on tap for $2.50 a pint. Forget the "curated" $9 micros elsewhere. Not for me. This place has been here for generations. An authentic local joint.
