Winchell's Donut House

Bakery Meal takeaway Cafe Restaurant

“Had gotten some donut holes and a bear claw mess. They are always open and creating new treats to eat. I find a late night calling or an early morning run to this spot to be the first choice. There are numerous locations to choose from. I have found one on almost every street corner that can satisfy the sweet tooth. Next...coffee.”

Dunkin'

“Been here several times. This place has got to be one of the friendliest places on the planet. Typical Dunkin's. Very atypical service as every time very guinely friendly. Plus, you just can't beat their coffee.”

LaMar's Donuts and Coffee

Address: 2120 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80210, USA

“Love visiting this donut shop on Sunday mornings, their donuts are always so fluffy and quite yummy! Nice staff too, plus their punch card program is well worth it!”

Dunkin'

Address: 2001 Sheridan Boulevard Ste A, Edgewater, CO 80214, USA

Bakery Meal takeaway Cafe Restaurant

“Came in about 9 a.m. to grab a few dozen donuts and a couple of coffees. The donut selection was great as they had a lot of options to choose from. Would have definitely given it a five-star if the coffees and Latte would have been a little warmer. They were both poured immediately upon ordering and drank right away. There was really no heat to them as a temperature was definitely lacking.”

Einstein Bros. Bagels

Address: 895 Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80206, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Two old guys at separate small tables, with their steaming cups of coffee and their bagels, talking easily, chatting about politics and sports. This is what a bagel place (or a coffee shop) is supposed to be like. Comfortable, comforting. The problem is that none of the three people who are behind the counter were there last week. They seem nice enough, but they are all new at this, and it shows. Here’s an applicable headline: “Employee turnover runs as high as 130% to 150%, according to industry measures.” That’s annually. I’m at Einstein Bros. Bagels, which is often included in surveys and articles about the Denver fast-casual phenomenon. I’m not sure it quite fits - I visited bagel places in the late ’70’s that were essentially the same. But Einstein’s started in the mid-Nineties and fits many of the other signifiers. From the attractive and humorous signage (most featuring Melvyn and Elmo, those fictitious Einstein brothers, and supposed founders) to the delightful varieties of bagels, to the frankly delicious breakfast sandwiches… Einstein’s offers a bagel’s perspective on fast-casual service. Einstein’s has a complex history. From what I can tell, their VERY FIRST shop actually opened in Salt Lake City, the second one in Denver. The company headquarters is in Golden, and Denver was the site of the first big push of franchises, so maybe that’s why it is categorized with Chipotle, Noodles, and the other Denver fast-casual operations. I love the Santa Fe breakfast sandwich - egg, turkey sausage, spicy Monterey Jack cheese, with Jalapeño Salsa shmear (the best ingredient) on an Asiago bagel, or a Green Chile or Jalapeño bagel if you are feeling adventurous. The Chorizo Sunrise offer better sausage - chorizo, of course - but also adds guacamole, which makes the whole combo just a little too much for me to manage. It has gotten all over my fingers and shirt enough times that I never order it anymore. The menu is good, then. Apparently, it’s mostly resistant to individual errors by new workers… or by workers who are bored and disinterested. But is this what we want when we visit a restaurant? Do the two old guys and their idle conversation make up for the uneasiness at the counter… and behind the scenes? There is a sort of Ponzi scheme underlying fast food (and fast-casual food, too), and it could be starting to fray at the edges. All the chef-inspired recipes and authentically sourced food may not be enough to keep this trend viable.”

City Donuts

“Omg city donuts is the best donut place around!! Once you walk in you are greeted immediately with a smile by the associate! He was so kind to our party of 4! Get there early so you can have any pick! Donuts go fast ????????????????????”

Olive & Finch

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“They have quite the mix on the menu! I mean, geeze, not expecting a Thai tea?!? Had egg and avocado on toast with a kale salad. All was super tasty, just wished for a slight bigger portion size for the money. Now the chocolate peanut butter bar..... oh boy, amazing! Would definitely come back based on the food quality!”

Katherine's French Bakery & Cafe

Address: 728 S University Blvd, Denver, CO 80209, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Our first time in what will become a more regular patronage, I expect, as the food was excellent. Curbside is the mode du jour, of course, but they make it simple. The pear, Bleu cheese, and spinach salad is outstanding (the grilled chicken was a good add and the fact they didn't skimp on the pear was lovely). The house club sandwich is excellent diner style fare: I recommend the marbled rye and the removal of the red onions which have a tendency to take over everything. The chocolate and strawberry crepe also received rave reviews from the daughter who was celebrating her birthday and wanted a sweet treat that was a little out of the box and definitely not cake. She recommends adding strawberry fruit jam to the mix! In any case, Katherine's performed and set a pretty high standard based on our first experience. Looking forward to our next run.”

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt

Address: 2656 W 32nd Ave, Denver, CO 80211, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Very cute place! I haven't been here before my children have! Several sitting areas inside which is really nice! Very clean the staff was very friendly!!! Love all the window space right in the heart of north Denver! Several different flavors of frozen yogurt! You can also sample that's a plus!”

Reunion Bread Co / Bakery

Address: 3350 Brighton Blvd #140, Denver, CO 80216, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Reunion is the best bakery in the state of Colorado, hands down. This bread is the only thing keeping me sane during quarantine. They always have a wonderful variety of delicious breads, but recently on the weekends, they've been offering bundles that are so much fun and a welcomed break in the monotony of a covid world. Recently I purchased a bread and butter flight (!!!! I know!) And they had a memorial weekend package with meat from a local butcher, veggies, pickles and aioli from acorn. I don't care that I can't go anywhere for the holiday, I'm taken away by reunion! Plus they had brioche buns in the package, which I'm making lobster roll (buns?) with! Their staff is wonderful and help out in any way they can. They now offer local deliveries too! I want to be selfish and keep them a secret, but they're too amazing not to share.”

Rivers and Roads Coffee

Address: 2539 Bruce Randolph Ave, Denver, CO 80205, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Love the homemade masks and cleanliness. Allegro house roasted coffee is smooth, gluten free biscuits stuffed with tomato and pesto, hell ya! I saved half for my husband. Thank you for making this outing with my newly 14 year old teenager eventful in our pandemic. Now we are looking for an open consignment shop. We shall be back with friends hopefully next time.”

Corner Bakery Cafe

Address: 500 16th St Mall, Denver, CO 80202, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Occasionally stop in here for lunch & have never been disappointed & thought I’d give breakfast a try. This is the sad looking breakfast bowl, not worth the price. It comes with only 1 slice of toast. You have to add potatoes as a side. There are other places downtown where you get more for the same price. Their lunch menu is better and the customer service is usually pretty good.”

Leven Deli Co.

Address: 123 W 12th Ave, Denver, CO 80204, USA

Restaurant Bakery Cafe

“Leven Deli exceeded my already high expectations. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. We were offered samples of anything and everything as we waited in line to order and the menu and specials were explained to us by an enthusiastic staff. My group all ordered a version of pastrami sandwich and it did not disappoint. I personally had the Reuben with a side of French curry potato salad (my mouth is watering writing this), and not only was it large enough to feed me for both lunch and dinner, but it was the best pastrami I’ve ever had anywhere. Coming from someone who lived in NYC, this is a big deal. If I lived in Denver, I’d be here everyday. But now I have the perfect excuse to make a day trip to Denver for 5-star food and drinks and the Denver Art Museum is less than a block away! Love love love.”

Krispy Kreme

Address: 303 16th St Mall Unit 120, Denver, CO 80202, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Great donuts like always. This location was pretty quick even with just one lady working behind the counter.”

The Rose

Address: 97 Main St Suite W 102B, Edwards, CO 81632, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Ok. It’s kinda easy to walk by, they need better signage... but maybe that’s part of the cool factor? THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. GO. All the food is top notch delicious and delectable. The asthmatic inside is all handmade and you can tell they put a lot of hard work into the “vibe”. So well done. Easily one of the best places to eat/drink in Edwards”

Northside Kitchen

Address: 20 Nottingham Rd, Avon, CO 81620, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Dania was great. My boyfriend and I had just come up to the mountains for my birthday on Saturday and after a long drive from Denver it was nice to feel welcomed. Dania was friendly and took very good care of us she even complimented my skin which was adorable. Anyway I always stop at this location when I am in Avon and have always had a great experience. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good breakfast or dinner in the valley. Keep up the good work guys!”

Northside Kitchen Grab & Go

Address: 2271 N Frontage Rd W, Vail, CO 81657, USA

“Underrated spot for a quick bite. Cheapest, and in my opinion, best burger in the valley. They recently renovated and now offer some of the best fries available. Seriously, you're missing out if you don't come check it out.”

Dunkin'

Address: 120 Blue River Pkwy, Silverthorne, CO 80498, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Super friendly staff. We stopped here when I70 closed to use the restroom, get a snack and make plans. One of the guys was quite entertaining and gave the stressful road closure experience a much needed moment of comedic relief. Oh, and the donuts were tasty too!”

Blue Moon Bakery

Address: 253 Summit Pl, Silverthorne, CO 80498, USA

“This place is the best to fuel up before a day on the slopes - the only downside is that everyone else knows it too! Despite the crowds, these people really hustle and the line typically moves very quickly. Love that blue moon special!”

Einstein Bros Bagels
