Trattoria 'A Vucchella & Wood Oven Pizza

A Vucchella (Little Mouth) offers you some of the best authentic Italian food in the state of Connecticut.
A Vucchella is where locals eat and everyone knows each other (or someone in your family) it's clean, chic, uncluttered, and with a well curated selection of Italian wines.
We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by owner/chef Pasquale Dr Martini and his lovely wife Jennifer Galleti and by others sitting at the bar enjoying after work drinks and food.
It's a place straight out of small town Italy, friendly, warm and were conviviality exist without barriers.
The food: a perfect example of Italian food, uncomplicated as it should be.
Simple, delicious and a must!

Transported to Italy the moment you enter... (well almost)..staff are warm friendly and aim to please... food is exquisite and the pricing is just right... nice and intimate...:-)

Wonderful food, with a warm welcoming atmosphere. A charming restaurant where the chef owner will personally greet you. The pasta is freshly made in-house daily. I thoroughly enjoyed a romantic dining experience, this romantic spot is not a pizza joint although the pizza is extraordinary! The restaurant is located conveniently adjacent a parking garage and directly across the street from the Bijou Theatre.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Fairfield County. You can always count on good food and tasty pizza. We found this gem 2 years ago and always find our way back. Love the eggplant parmigiana so tasty and their steak with arugula is another one of my favorites as well. Nice ambience and staff is always attentive and friendly.

Small cozy place with a friendly atmosphere. Courteous staff. Warm and private atmosphere. Food was delicious. Parking was not bad. Definitely will go back. Prices were reasonable.
