Spiga

Went to Spiga for the first time, I didn’t appreciate how the hostess argued with me over seating, she came off as rude. But the food was absolutely amazing, food tasted very fresh. Our waiter Tony was wonderful, his service was perfect! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I will definitely eat at Spiga again!

Excellent menu and fantastic atmosphere. The staff is so attentive! Favorite dishes include kale & calamari salad, filet mignon- and the sorbets for dessert. Parking is right across the street in downtown New Canaan. This will be a regular spot for us from now on.

3.5 stars. Nice place where pasta and pizzas are truly made in house, down to the doughs. Apps shine, especially the burrata. Red-sauced pizzas were too salty but otherwise good. Other diners in my party raved about their white-sauced pies. Service was attentive. Lots of vegetarian choices. Good gluten-free crusts. Not so much for vegans but there are some options. Would return but would likely skip the red-sauced pies, which is a shame because pizza is their cornerstone.

Big, open and relatively informal Italian dining. My meal was good...not necessarily “memorable”, but I had no complaints at the time! The wait staff was attentive and polite!
