“This market is less than 1/4 the size of a regular supermarket yet has everything you could need. Quite a few gourmet selections so the prices are a but higher but you can get in and out in a flash if so desired. The staff is folksy and friendly so it's really a comfy feeling when in the store.”

“Chef Luis is a great guy. My girlfriend and I just stumbled on to this town and came to eat here and Chef Luis came out to say hi and gave us an appetizer on the house. Such a nice guy. It turns out that the calamari was one of my girlfriend's favorite meals while visiting the States. She loved it. We both had a mix of food and some really good wine. The atmosphere here is very comfortable and full of locals, but everyone was very nice. Not pretentious as you might expect with a local joint. I can't wait to come back to New Canaan and this will be the first place we stop to eat when we do. Thanks Chef Luis!!!”

“Good place to go after work, behind the main street in a quiet alley. The beer is good, the seating is enough for groups of 2 and 4. The food is good but was pretty slow coming out. Great to unwind here in a more quiet bar not blasted with music or TV sounds or other loud people.”

“Honestly some of the best ribs I have ever had. Whether you're choosing St. Louis or Baby back, the meat falls clear off the bone every time. It's incredible how consistent the ribs are cooked perfectly every time. The potatoes au gratin and the corn souffle are two of my favorite sides and can't be had this way anywhere else. Stay away from the chain BBQ restaurants and get over to Vitti St. Make sure you get there early!”

“Went to Spiga for the first time, I didn’t appreciate how the hostess argued with me over seating, she came off as rude. But the food was absolutely amazing, food tasted very fresh. Our waiter Tony was wonderful, his service was perfect! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I will definitely eat at Spiga again!”

I waited for the customers in front of me to receive their items and no one was waiting and no one spoke to me as I was ready to order so I walked out.
