Misimi - Hibachi. Fusion Sushi. Bar

Tonight my husband and I went out for dinner at the former Asian Bistro, which we loved before and dined frequently. Tonight we had a server name Laura who was by far the most attentive waitress we have ever had. She brought our drinks promptly, asked if we wanted another round at the perfect time, and was available when we needed her. The hibachi chef was interactive and the food was fantastic! We will be back for sure! Since Asian Bistro closed we tried finding a similar place, and nothing matched. We are so excited to have a great hibachi place in Shelton!

Best sushi in town (and beyond) I can not recommend this place enough. You'll feel right at home here. Staff is super friendly. Hibachi is also a good time. You will not be disappointed.

So my overall first impression of the place was pretty decent. The interior of the place is very well put together and is overall very welcoming. It’s is quite honestly a very pretty place. The reason why I am rating it three starts is also because of my first experience. The wait staff were welcoming as we first came in however as time pass I learned of their incompetence. First off, my girlfriend and I waited about 35 minutes before we finally received our sushi rolls. At other Asian cuisine restaurants in the surrounding area, the wait is usually 10-15 minutes (and for better made sushi). As far as the presentation of the sushi goes, it was very well done however that would be the extent of it. The sushi was terrible and the selection of rolls was not that great. That wasn’t even the biggest concern, seeing as the incompetent waitress spilled water all over my girlfriend.

Long story short if it was a sushi restaurant I would rate it 1 star; considering that, they mostly specialize in hibachi and I can’t give information on how that goes but the other foods are terrible, would not recommend.

It had been a while, coming from someone that's been visiting the restaurant for many years, it's back! Old owner is back, food is great, drinks are great (try the Purple Haze Saki, really just do it) and had an awesome evening! Hibachi, regular dining... yes just check it out. Decided to just go for it with apps, sushi, entrees, SAKIIIIIIIIII! Okay, obviously I really enjoyed the food, drinks and the staff. The old Asian Fusion is back in full swing with a new name. If you used to go and didn't like the changes, go back!

The old Asian Bistro is back! Under the original management from when it first opened with new owners and a new name, Misimi. Very clean, great staff, great food and great drinks. I am very happy to see that the old great vibe is back! Great place to hang out with friends, family, business partners or new people.
