Teff

Excellent Food in the dining wasteland that is Stamford.
So yeah, this *is* Stamford, where you can work your way through a whole bunch of restaurants only to be rewarded with the bitter chill of mediocrity.
And then there is Teff, where they somehow manage to not just make something that isn't utterly whitebread, but make it *good* at that.
And yes, Good it is. Really good. Worth going back to repeatedly.
The flavors, the textures, the complexity, it's all there - with the only challenge being overeating...

Oh yes, the staff is friendly, and there is beer ????

Authentic Ethiopian food! The place offers a nice ambience for a romantic date night. We ordered the “Dorho Wat” and the “Vegan tasting for one”.

Ethiopian food is very similar to Indian cuisine however, it is not that spicy. Loved the injera bread!

Phenomenal food, family owned. Great experience. We take our guests and family friends from out of town here. Just added a nice wine list, too. Very comparable to other African and Ethiopian restaurants.

Highly recommend for those looking to make the great meal a part of the conversation.

Just took friends from out of town here. The owner is incredibly friendly, happy to see us bring in small babies.

We brought our friends from out of town and had a great time. Continues to stand as one of the best restaurants in Stamford.

Nice people, nice staff, good food.
Half the menu is vegan.
Worth a try.

Amazing food, great service, and nice atmosphere. We completely devoured everything. Also, try the Ethiopian coffee after your meal. I'm not even a big coffee drinker, but I was in love with the coffee. Our waitress was amazingly kind and helpful, as well.
