Costa del Sol Restaurant

Do not get here as often as I like but Costa Del Sol has always been one of my favorites. Not your traditional food but a nice change of pace. Food is always great with a very good wine list as well. Family run and owned is the best. Hope to get back there soon.

Costa del Sol Restaurant is a authentic Spanish restaurant in South Hartford. Near the restaurant you will find many other establishments such as: restaurant, gas stations, and other shops.
I recently went there on a school field trip to learn about paella. And even though I've only ever had one paella... I have to say their chicken and sausage paella was DELICIOUS! The sausage, in Spanish called a chorizo, was amazing. It was fresh and juicy and filled my mouth with flavor.
I had flan for dessert. But I am dad to report that I did not like it. In my opinion it was bitter. But do not let this discourage you, for many of my classmates thought it was delicious.
My only other problem was the hospitality of the staff. When I entered the restaurant I was not greeted. But do not hold this against them because since this is a family restaurant they have been going through hard times in their family. So I would just like to say... Thank you for opening your resturant so my school could experience your magnificent paella.

La Costa Del Sol restaurant is the place where you can eat the best and very best Paellas in CT. I have been going there for over 26 years or since they open. The service is superb, the restaurant super clean and the food just delicious so is just not paella. (but I love my paellas) The people that run the restaurant are from Spain and they know what they are doing. The last two times I have Paella this good is when I went to Madrid Espana...going here is a lot cheaper and just as good. Great job Don Pepe.

Found Costa del Sol on short notice. Didn't have a reservation, so we had to take a table in the bar area. Still had a great dinner. Good service, great food. Pricey, but if you're looking for a nice place to go to after a show, this is it.

Service was top notch. My son and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, from the table set up to the beautiful mural on the wall. We got the house paella which consists of all the goodies. It was good but not as flavorful as i expected. I would still eat there again but would try another dish.
