“I have always enjoyed the soup and sandwiches at Max Bibo's of Weston St. The shop is a little baron when you walk in, however the fresh meats and bread make up for the lack of ambiance. The chili is consistently good and clam chowder is delicious. Don't forget to ask for the pasta salad with your sandwich. It's great. Just make sure you are in by 2:45 pm as they close promptly at 3:00 pm”

“Walked in to grab a quick bite after a job interview [they carry Boar's Head, so I was all about a roast beef sandwich]. As I went to pay, I realized I left my wallet in the car. I explained to the cashier, and she was AMAZINGLY cool. She encouraged me to enjoy my sandwich, and then go to my car and grab it when I was done. And that's what I did. The sandwich was awesome and the dill pickle, perfect. Total meal cost was reasonable, and plenty of room left to tip for world-class service. I'll be back (with my wallet)!”

“Wherever you go Subway is Subway, you get the same subs, same cookies , same chips and same beverages. Then what matter really? It is attitude and friendliness of the staff. Dhaba Wala Indian Kitchen

Address: 49 Asylum St, Hartford, CT 06103, USA

Restaurant

“It's a small cozy place. The food is good although I have heard some folks say it's not that great. Personally I don't have any complaints. Whenever I'm in town I do order dinner from here at least couple times in the week. This time around I also had lunch and felt it was good unlike the feedback I have heard from others. The prices are reasonable as well and 2 people can have a nice dinner meal under $20 comprising of an appetizer, entree and side. Definitely recommend trying at least once if you are in town and around the area.”

Pietro's Pizza

Address: 942 Main St, Hartford, CT 06103, USA

Restaurant

“I just wanted to comment about putting sugar in the tomato sauce. Crazy thing to mention in a bad review, but it's not outlandish to put a dash or a teaspoon of sugar in homemade tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce. I was browsing the comments to see how the restaurant's business is like, and happened upon that comment. I tried the food, and it was good, not great but good. Since there is nothing hardly downtown, it stands out as an eatery worth going to until something better comes along. But I would not berate them for putting sugar in the tomato sauce.”

“I frequent Freshii often because I am very satisfied with their variety of healthy, fresh, and delicious menu items. The staff is very nice and greets you by your first name. I recommend the Tex Mex Bowl if you are really hungry and the Fiesta Salad. The food tastes organic and fresh. It's hard to find healthy items during lunch time in Hartford.”

MM's Gyros & Spuds

Address: 24 Temple St, Hartford, CT 06103, USA

Restaurant

“It's a nice place and offers good food although gets really crowded during lunch time. I have been here for the 3rd time and every time I visit I don't have any complaints with the food except for how the show is being run. For example, during all my visits I ordered 2 items and for some reason the person taking the order only decided to give 1 of them and I had to ask for the 2nd item again. Also, it's totally understandable that during lunch rush they need to keep the line moving but that doesn't discount for telling the customer (when asked for receipt) that you should have told that before (even though I had asked for it before hand when paying). A little more care needs to be put in by the management on the operations.”

“If having 2nd thoughts on what to grab for breakfast or lunch then this is the place to go. Their soup and sandwich are really nice. They have the same problem as other good restaurants in the area and that is too crowded during lunch. For a hot bowl of soup I willing to wait in line and it's worth it. The staff is really friendly and nice. They have some nice cozy tables too which you can grab and have a quiet lunch in a corner.”
