Cafe Aura

The renovation is amazing! The service was okay. The kitchen was out of at least 3 things on the menu which I understand that happens. The bread is complimentary, but is not very good. It really is just a cheap loaf of Italian. The meatball appetizer was bland. The meatball itself was dry and the sauce lacked flavor. The arugula salad was amazing and the drinks. The chicken Parmesan wasn’t very good. The pasta was served separate which I sound odd and again the sauce lacked flavor. The chicken in many spots were overcooked and again the sauce and dish lacked flavor. My husband had the ravioli and again, just okay for the price. It wasn’t horrible, but for the place and price you expect better. I’m hoping this is because they just opened. We really aren’t picky at all about food, but when you are paying a lot at a nice place you expect a little more. Wishing good luck in the future!

I would certainly go again. Tom our server was excellent and clearly was well versed in the menu and how the food was prepared. The atmosphere was lively with the feeling of a community gathering place. Very friendly and courteous staff. My favorite part of the meal was the appetizer. Pan seared scallops were PERFECT! Well done!

Had the extreme pleasure of going to Cafe Aura. I can honestly say that they have one of the best staffs I have ever experienced in a restaurant. The service was impeccable ..the bartenders amazing..personable .delightful. You immediately feel at home. The food was delicious...I had the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection...my son and his girlfriend had the Tomahawk steak for 2 and enjoyed every bit of it. I had the pleasure of meeting Marcus the Genreal Manager and Todd the Banquet Manager both of whom were delightful. I will definitely be a regular at this restaurant without a doubt. The renovation is amazingly beautiful. If you want a true dining experience this is the place to go. Thank you Jenna...Mike and Frank you made my night. You will see me often. Maybe next time Gino will even stop and say hello.

The staff was outstanding and the food was delicious. I only wish that two things could have been different. They did not have Canadian Club and therefore I could not have a Manhattan made the way I like it. Secondly, the spaghetti with clams has too over spiced with either cayenne or other very spicy pepper and therefore I could not eat it. If the menu had indicated that it was very spicy, I would have not ordered it. All the other members of my party had great food. I plan to return in the future.

Best Italian restaurant outside of Italy. Food was outstanding. From the appetizers to the main meals, delicious and plentiful. Staff was beyond friendly and very knowledgeable. The owner Genomhappened to be there and spent time at every table. Marcus the manager was exceptional. The atmosphere was great. A must do in Connecticut for great Italian food.
