The cold sub was done right away, the hot sub took quite a while. It is good that it was prepared fresh (mushrooms grilled upon ordering) though. Perhaps the cold one could have been made when the hot one was almost ready.”

“If you're out at 2am and hungry for a snack this can be a great option. Most of the "cooked" food is awful and will likely ruin your stomach, but if you grab prepackaged food then you should be fine. That being said, if it's not 2am then go find something else. There's really no excuse to eat anything here during the day. Target is like 100 feet away and has much better options for snacks.”

“I like the nachos with cheese sauce here as well as their frozen bean burritos. I know it isn't ideal, but if you're in a hurry or it is late at night, it works. The staff here is friendly. They have lots of other great snack options as well. The location is much nicer than the one near my house on South Main Street in New Britain. I also like the milk they sell here. There is good reading material too if you want a magazine. Another plus to this place is 7-11 is always open, which comes in handy at times...”

“Newington Meat Market really gets it. They offer good food. The service is really nothing short of great. The staff is friendly and is good with all sorts of customers. They clearly know their returning regulars and clearly appreciate them. They treat older customers with respect and dignity. I'm a big fan of their lasagna platter. It's just the way that I like it, and the sauce is excellent. I love how, because we used to order it with great regularity at certain holidays, they would call to "confirm our order" even though we hadn't placed it yet. It really made us feel like our business was wanted and appreciated. I also like how the staff deals with customers that come in with complex orders. I've seen more than a few customers making extremely complex orders but the staff didn't flinch, eye-roll or make any signs that might indicate how difficult the order might be. They really, really get it.”
