Very nice and simply place. Staff is friendly and food is affordably priced. One of my favorite places to go on the weekends after church. Small place and everyone knows each other.
Diner food served with a touch of Polish goodness. I recommend the polish breakfast with stuffed cabbage (I don't know the polish spelling). I do know good food. Excellent value and I am looking forward to the Perogis on my next visit.
We stopped in at the Wethersfield Diner for breakfast, after picking my son up at his home in Rocky Hill, before heading up to New Hampshire. It was the first time for us all eating breakfast here. My son and I both opted for our favorite breakfast dish; biscuits and sausage gravy. It was also served with two eggs, any style, and potatoes.
I must say that this dish compared very favorably with the same offering at my son's other local favorite diner in Rocky Hill. Both are very good! I had scrambled eggs wth mine. They were light and fluffy.
My sister opted for the daily special, (that was more expensive on weekends. What's THAT about?). It consisted of 2 eggs, any style, smashed potatoes (their name for home fries), and toast. WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THAT?
We all agreed that the place we usually stop at in Rocky Hill offers an overall better breakfast, so we likely won't be stopping in here again. That's no reflection on our experience, just a case of proximity and personal preferences.
