Rooster's Chicken & Waffles

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This was my first time at a chicken and waffles place and I was pretty pumped to be here. I ordered 5 tenders, a waffle, corn fritters, and Waffle fries. The tenders were tender and juicy but I felt that the batter could have been better. It seemed soggy without much crunch. The sauces were ok, but I ordered and paid for three and only got two. No big deal just annoying. The waffle was ok, but what can you do with a waffle. The waffle fries were nicely done and had a decent seasoning on them. Overall, an ok experience, but I probably wouldn't return. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 5.1

Food was great enjoyed with the family. Nice place to go in eat dine in and outside. Also blacked owned. So a big plus

Recently did a pickup order. Drove 25 minutes as I wanted to try the food. Order was complete and ready when I got there. I have to say the sauces were all really really good!! The chicken to me was perfect. Nice skin to it and not too salty. Allowed you to still be able to taste the sauces. Waffle was done really well. The picked coleslaw as nice and spicy. Wish it was a little bit more sweet but very good.

First time here, but not the last. I ate the regular chicken waffle sandwich with a golden sauce and also got some buffalo wings. Tender meat, not doused in salt, and the golden sauce had a gentle sweet taste. Food was piping hot after my 20 min. ride home, too. I’m glad the restaurant moved here. I wish there was a paper menu to go with the online menu, but I guess that’s good for the environment. I was struggling to read the menu screen above my head.

Had a good experience ordering online here for takeout. Chicken tenders were large cuts and extremely juicy. Because of that they’re not as crispy as others have mentioned, but I like them this way because they’re not just drenched in fried batter. The waffle was dense but tasty. The broccoli cheddar bites and waffle fries were delicious. I ordered the Mac and cheese thinking it was regular Mac and cheese, but they are fried little bites. The only thing I think this place could benefit from would be a fresh, non fried side option on the menu (that isn’t coleslaw :D). Overall, I’d order here again before ordering from Wings Over.
