(November 18, 2018, 1:30 pm)We decided to give this GW Tavern another try after not being impressed by our past visits. This experience was certainly better than what we experienced prior. We sat in the area with the bar and fire place which was very nice, until the room filled up with smoke from the fireplace which burned the eyes a bit. We did have very good food though to make us forget about the smoke. The lamb shank was tender and very flavorful and my wife enjoyed her mussels. This visit definitely put the tavern back on the map for us

(August 1, 2018, 12:49 pm)The food is squarely in the okay range. What stands out is the ambience and staff. They knock it out of the park. You won't find a bunch of friendlier attentive group of staff. If you like beer try out their flight it's at a good price point and you get a good amount in each glass. Drop by and check it out it's as good a tavern as you will find.
