This restaurant was incredible And their food is the best part of it! Their staff are extremely friendly and will help you in any way they can. After a couple had left the table by the fire place we asked to move there because we went their for Mother's Day and it was a cold day. They were very kind to do so and even helped move our plates in everything over to. This restaurant is well maintained right down to the restrooms everything is clean here.
The server was prompt, the food came quickly & was good. Typical pub grub. Will be coming back again.
Great place for our function. Food was good, service was good. Nice people.
I had lunch recently with a couple of former, also retired co-workers, at Town Tavern.
The tavern has a very nice, 1800's vibe to the interior. Warm, inviting, and comfortable.
It wasn't terribly busy on this Tuesday afternoon, so we just walked in and found a table in the bar area.
I selected the lunch special of fish & chips. The two fillets made for a very generous portion, along with the French fries and cole slaw. The fish was cooked well and were nice, thick pieces that weren't at all greasy, but somehow had a vague "stale" or "refrigerator" flavor, as if it they were in the refrigerator for some time. That didn't stop me from eating it all. It was pretty decent overall, but just didn't rise to a four star level to me.
Service was spot on.
Would I return? Absolutely. The price was fair and made for a good lunchtime value.
