Good atmosphere. Pretty good service. Food was “typical” BBQ.

Service was so bad it was almost comedy. I waited for 5 minutes to be seated and there were very few people there. Took forever to get my order. When I wanted a refill the waitress was nowhere to be seen. I went to the bar to get a refill myself and both bartenders looked at me and walked away. A few minutes later one returned and got my refill. The food was excellent. Which is why I gave it three stars. Management should consider a training class for the staff.

A very good rustic fun restaurant for casual barbecue in downtown New Haven. The food is good, everyone in our party enjoyed their food, and we selected from Brisket, superb, along with pulled pork and ribs. The appetizers are really nice and allow for sharing. The sauces at the table allow you to add North Carolina Vinegar sauce or mild and spicy sauce with ketchup and brown sugar based. The beer selection is a tad eccentric with local craft and macro, and trash beer, so something for everyone, think Natty Light! The outside area is very nice, with umbrellas overhead and spacious picnic like tables. Hope the people at the bus stop do not smoke! This is a fun restaurant with friendly service and good food.
