“It seems I’m the first one to review this place. Has a great ambience, relaxed atmosphere almost like a zen room. Coffees were good- had my usual espresso drinks. Yet to try their nature products, & smoothies- will definitely try sometime.”

“This is my new favorite place. It’s Black owned and the owners were kind. The staff were friendly, accommodating and pleasant. The food was very good. I had the wings and steak & cheese egg rolls. Both were delicious. The view, music and restaurant atheistic created a balanced vibe. I’d visit again and would highly recommend!”

“Delicious food and great, kind service! As a vegetarian my only option was elote, but when that they made me delicious off menu tacos with lettuce, avocado, onions, nopal, and cheese. The ingredients tasted fresh and the salsas were super flavorful. I’m definitely grateful that they accommodated my needs. Overall great tasting tacos at a reasonable price and definitely would come back! Note: I was with a fluent Spanish speaker who was able to fully explain that I don’t eat meat. I may have been able to get it across well enough, but all the other customers spoke fluent Spanish so I’m unsure how many English only customers they get. But don’t let that detract you from their great food!”

“Absolutely love the place!! The owners are super friendly as well. The food is on point. I am a vegetarian and get the falafel platter. It is super yum! I have been a regular customer for several months now and have never been disappointed with the food and service. A lot of people from the lab also love the food here. Would highly recommend this place :)”

“Just tried Atticus Market's pizza. It was great. We got a tomato pie and a mozzarella with pep on it. The sauce was sweet and tangy and the crust was amazing. I also love their selection of desserts, breads, and other random grocery items. The patio also had a decent number of seats.”

“Was told when walking in it would be about a 20 minute wait for the chicken to cook. It was worth every second. Very, very good food, and great experience. Cleanest place I've ever been in with the nicest team you'll ever meet. 20 out of 10 (200% satisfied).”

“Was so excited to see poppy’s opened! We only ordered iced coffees, but they were great. The interior design is very beautiful and creative. The best part was getting to speak to the owner and learn about the coffee roasting process (which is in house!) and hear a bit more about the story behind the scenes. Excited to go back soon!”

“Cheese steak sub sandwiches have been one of my foundational flavor palettes since I was old enough to consistently hold a 6 inch sub and eat it in one sitting. In the past I’ve been repeatedly willing to drive over 90 miles both ways to get an acceptable cheese steak when there’s none other closer to be had. Phillys has blown away all of my expectations and reset my standards for cheese steak subs! I’m now having to admit that I’m grateful the nearest location is about 20 minutes away, because I know I’d be eating there everyday if I was closer. It can be good to have such tasty problems.🥳🫶🤤”

“Firstly... the dogs are FIRE! The menu is extremely creative without going too far. Large selection, including awesome sides. After having a "Bulldog" dog, I literally went right back for another one. Atmosphere is open and upbeat with very tasteful and relaxing music playing. And for the quality, the prices are VERY reasonable. As for the owner... really friendly and courteous young man. He makes you feel very welcomed and engages each customer as if they are family. He takes great pride in making sure each order is made with the same degree of high quality. He's really a refreshing example of a young American entrepreneur.”

“Been meaning to eat here for a minute and finally made it over. Interior is laid back and makes you feel like you can sit and chill for a while. Enjoyed a pint and a gooey grilled cheese. Best part were the hand-cut fries seasoned with Old Bay - they made me nostalgic for my Baltimore days. Was too full for the cardamom cake but I guess that just means a trip back - soon! Be careful where you park - there are a couple of spots in front of the restaurant but most of the street is zone parking. Plenty of spots on Chapel before you get to Dwight.”

“Dined here with a group of 7. We had a 630pm reservation and were able to sit immediately but took advantage of their large bar for a pre-dinner drink. Benny was the bartender and he was friendly and made an excellent drink. For dinner, the steaks were amazing. We had the rib eye, tomahawk, porterhouse and shared them. They were cooked perfectly. Appetizers were shared and awesome as well. We tried some deserts too. Key Lime pie was light and flavorful. Tyler was our waiter and he was extremely attentive. It's a bit noisy in there, hopefully they do something about the acoustics - that's my only gripe. I'll be back for sure, the outside patio looks like it will be perfect for the summer.”

“Food: very good overall, and there's great complimentary garlic bread to start. The one thing we didn't love was the chicory salad. Don't forget to ask about the desserts -- the souffle was incredible. Drinks: a strong wine list and a relatively bare-bones (but good) cocktail menu. Atmosphere: light, green, and pleasant. Windows face onto a highway and an IKEA but there's not much you can do about that. Overall we had a really good time here, and they're still in soft opening mode so it was not crowded at all. The bill came out to $40 each (including cocktail and dessert), which was a pleasant surprise and stacks up very well against what you'll pay for a date night downtown or in East Rock. I will be back!”
