Fire & Slice - Smokehouse & Pizzeria

Went in for some pizza and noticed they also did BBQ. I wanted the BBQ but it was expensive!

Man they wouldn't even gimme a little taste of that BBQ it smelled so good :(

We had the delicious My Big Fat Greek pizza from Fire & Slice. We are looking forward to try out the rest of the pizza pies.

So first off, the food was AMAZING. It was my first time there and I shared the cheddar garlic bread app which was absolutely delicious! The Jamaican Jerk BBQ was equally as tasty and I was beyond excited about the portion size and that I’d have leftovers for lunch the next day! I ordered the jalepeno cornbread and spinach as my sides and they far exceeded my expectations. The food was awesome, the staff could not have been kinder, and the environment is very comfortable. I am SO thrilled to be a new regular at this hidden gem here in New Haven!!!

The plain pizzas are great but the creative signature pies are what makes them stand out. The Loaded Spud (mashed potatoes, bacon, scallions, and cheddar) is phenomenal and definitely rivals the signature mashed potato pie of a well known New Haven pizza spot. The Maui Waui (pineapple, pulled pork, bacon, BBQ sauce) is hands down my favorite pizza of all time. Give it a shot even if you don't ordinarily like pineapple on your pizza, trust me. Their BBQ is top notch, easily the best I've had in Connecticut. The meat has a nice smoke, good flavor, and just falls right off the bone, but the real star is the spice rub they put on top — delicious! Will definitely be back.

Food is great and everyone is so friendly! There are some really interesting (and delicious) pizza combinations on the menu, and even just plain cheese is phenomenal! The BBQ and sides are as good as it gets, can't wait to go back.
