Sally’s Apizza wins the battle of the pizza in New Haven. The pizza with clam, hot peppers, and bacon was well worth the wait. And I’m a New Yorker who takes his pizza game very seriously. It really was delicious and cooked to perfection. PS- Jonathan brought a fresh pie outside to feed everyone waiting. Great service and experience. Will 100% be back!

Another pizza place with a long line out the door but at least it seemed to move quick. The place has a simple local convenience store vibe to it. Nothing about the place stands out at all besides the long lines, of course. This seems to be a place for the locals around new haven to get a slice. Also management caters more to locals since they called my friend an out of towner when he was ordering; it was hilarious. Understand that if you want fresh authentic pizza you are going to get a fresh, authentic, NO B.S. attitude as well. Other than the simple design and attitude from the passionate staff. The pizza tastes amazing so sweet and appetizing. The thin crust wasnt burnt, the sauce was succulent. Sally's Apizza makes a grade A pizza. This is a legendary establishment

Made a wager 7 years ago that this place could not stack up to NYC pizza and was happy to pay. You know who you are Gerry. Happened to be in the area and made it a point to stop in today. Where do I send another $100? Simply stated, great eats and taking one for the road.

My first impressions of Sally's Apizza: I was excited they had parking on the side of the building and I went around 9:30 so it wasn't packed. My boyfriend and I noticed the CASH ONLY sign on the door so we had to run to the bank. I wish that I saw that on their website before coming there but maybe I oversaw it. We missed the last call for eating in but the men working that night let us eat some of our pizza before they officially closed. I couldn't tell who was working there and who wasn't. Someone who I presumed was the manager came over to us and offered us water. During my encounters with employees, 2 of them said the word "s**t" and I thought that wasn't appropriate. I ordered a large half mozzarella and half hot pepper pizza. Overall, it was a tasty pizza.

Best pizza experience! Get there before they open as there will be a line to get in once the doors unlock. Awesome service, great prices and the pizza is to die for! It comes out on it's own baking sheet, that's how big a large is. Can't wait to go back again ????
