Jimmies of Savin Rock

Excellent food and service. Great place. When we travel we make it a point to get to West Haven in the afternoon so we can stop at Jimmie's.

I eat here at least 4x's a month on average. But I have been coming here for about 20 years. The staff is always nice, I have never had a problem. I am reading the complaints here and I can tell you I have never had a negative experience here ever!!! The food is delicious and you get great portions for the money. I have eaten at tons of seafood places and paid far more money and have received far less food. :)

I haven't been here for about 15 years and was worried that things might have gone downhill. I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is well-maintained, something which doesn't always happen at the side of the restaurants.

Most important, the food was amazing and the staff was very pleasant.

I had the whole belly clams, clam chowder, and house salad with blue cheese dressing. The chowder was extremely good, the fried clams where among the best in New England, abd the baked potato was bajed, not steamed.

if you want to save a few dollars off the cost of your mail, check out the specials. They're also early bird dinner options that are quite affordable.

The restaurant is right on the boardwalk, so you get a great view of the water and of people working pie. It gets jammed in the season, so be prepared for a long wait if you come when it's warm enough to go to the beach.

Great Shrimp!!! Great Clam Strips.. The tarter sauce is ridiculously delicious. I go their just for that! Decor inside restaurant needs to be renovated. You walk in and you flashback to 1995.
