The Oyster River Tavern

This place is certainly a dive bar (not to be confused with the “dive bar” next door. The best thing about this place is the lobster rolls. So much lobster!!!!

Stop here looking for clam chowder well they have Rhode Island (Lil bland)which is more of a chicken noodle type minus chicken add clams. Now, on the other hand, the lobster roll sandwich was Devine!!! The lobster bisque soup was also very well done. The downside is the fries and O-rings weren’t very good. That being said beer was cold and there was a nice selection of food along with a good, attentive waitress. Definitely worth a stop.

Great beach views with outside patio. Hands down the best lobster rolls the way they are supposed to be served, hot in a toasted roll with melted butter! Get the twin platter with an order of the fried calimari "Providence Style", spicy with Italian hot cherry peppers. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Get there early if you like sitting at the bar to eat. Ask for Melissa.
