Main Street Grille In Niantic

Quiet during lunch, service was fast and friendly. Food was decent. Nice outside seating area, and spacious inside.

I put three stars because we have had great service but not always great food. The last meal made us not want to ever go back again. Our meals weren't that great and my chicken was super dry and rubbery. I asked for the check and didn't ask for a to go box. I didn't complain to anyone but didn't want to take home my leftovers. The next thing I know the owner came over and asked what was wrong with my meal? At that time I told him what was wrong. He proceeded to take my dish in the back and when he came back out he said there is nothing wrong with your meal I took a bite. I will not take it off your check. I sat there astonished because one I never asked him to take it off the check but now he is telling me he took a bite and there is nothing wrong with my meal. We had frequently visited this restaurant because of the friendly servers but this was appalling. We have never gone back since. I can't believe after all our business and even had my birthday party there that I was treated in this disgusting manner. You don't do this to repeat customers or basically anybody. I have a right to like or dislike my meal.

Wonderful stop for lunch or dinner. The seating inside is comfortable and spacious. During the warmer months outdoor seating is also an option. Beautiful views of the bay. Trains speed by occasionally much to the delight of our kids. The food is always delicious and service phenomenal. Plenty of parking as well.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Niantic.

The staff is always super friendly and very thoughtful.

The food is top notch, period. I haven't had a bad meal here 6 times running.

In the summer you can come sit on the deck and overlook the ocean...bay, I think it's the ocean, I don't have a map handy, it's water.
