Pequot Hibachi & BBQ

I really liked my food. The gyoza(potstickers/dumplings)was the tastiest of the Asian restaurants in New London. The seasoning on the bbq sticks is good, tastes sorta like old bay. The shrimp was prepped nicely (cleaned properly of its mud vein and the tail shell removed well with the end of the meat intact) but the “octopus” was not and the only reason I took away a star. Firstly it’s squid, not octopus. But the squid itself was prepped and cooked bad. Still had a tiny bit of squid guts inside and it was over cooked and too chewy to eat.

Solid value and friendly staff. Somewhat atypical "Chinese" menu (as Google labels). I thought the BBQ had quality meat and the noodle dishes were tasty. Eating space is limited and sparse. Also had rolled ice cream with custom flavors. Yum.

The veggies tasted crisp and the meat didn't have the greasy texture some places have. The meat was freshly grilled. We ordered delivery, no issues and have order there several times.

Good food and quick. Not loaded with too much sauces so you can really taste the foods. Nice area to have a small clean Asian restaurant.
