The Plum Tomato, Salem, CT

I’ve been going here for a long time. And here’s why. The staff are the most hospitable I’ve ever had at a pizza restaurant. They’re friendly and accommodating. The price is more than the average place, but it is the best pizza in the area by far. In addition to their pie, the pasta plates and desserts are equally incredible. This place puts quality above all else.

Plum tomato has always been fresh, delicious, and great quality, for the many years I've been going there. The owner, Ryan is super nice and creates and cooks many one of a kind and homemade dishes- including desserts. Usually it's a 8 star out of 5.

I have only given it 4 today, as the youngest guy (one of the new workers), seems to have an aversion to handwashing. Based on the ALWAYS great quality at my local, beloved pizza [and more] shop, I know the owner would be appalled.

This was the first time I'd been to this Plum Tomato. I can't speak to the rest of the menu (though the place did come highly recommended by a friend), but the brickini sandwich I had was one of the very best things I've ever tasted. Don't remember the name, but it was the first one on the menu board. Service was fast and the gent who seemed to be doing it all - taking orders, cooking, and serving - was very cordial. I don't get to this area often, but if I do, I will happily return for another meal. Very highly recommended!

Our sandwich was a work of art. Great menu. Needs a bigger space for such fantastic food. Great restaurant for West Hartford CT or Northampton MA! Hope they expand at some point. Staff were amazing. There were people practically lining up out the door for their food with only two people to take orders and prepare amazing food and they had it covered! Very fast! Best wishes for this restaurant. I wish it was closer to home.

Humongous portions at very low cost! These guys are good!
I stopped here on the way to Mohegan. I think this was way better than any of the food you will get in the casino. I noticed most people were just ordering takeout. Next time, I'll put an order in advance, then pick it up and head over to Fox Farms Brewery for some beer to pair with the delicious garlic cheese bread and tuna sandwich!
