“This was my first time visiting and I am only mad that I didn't stop in sooner! I was welcomed from the time I stepped in. I took a moment to decide what I wanted and sat down looking over the menu. The young lady at the counter came over and was ready to assist me. Very friendly! I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that they do not sell pork. This is definitely a plus for me and I felt safe to order anything off the menu. Great selection of food and there are a tables and chairs so that you could sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. It was also very clean. I appreciated that the lady at the counter went through so much care to wipe off my to-go containers before bagging my food. Also included napkins and forks. When I finally got to sit down and enjoy my food, it was great! It was flavorful and perfectly seasoned and you can tell, it was made with love and "soul". Will definitely be back! Think I may have a new favorite!”

“Recommended hesitantly. I understand they had just reopened so that might have affected things. First, I think this place is having a bit of an identity crisis between wanting to be a bar and wanting to be an expensive seafood restaurant. If your median plate price is $25, you probably need to accept cards and just deal with the processing fee. Big risk keeping that much cash on hand. When my wife and I walked in, the place was almost empty. No one greeted us. I went to the bar and asked for a table and we were quickly seated. The view of the river was very pretty, but the table was covered in salt from the last diners. We both ordered fried seafood platters with french fries. It should have been a very simple, drop it in the deep fryer and serve it meal. It took over an hour for our food to arrive. When the food came, it was fine but not exceptional. I felt like it was pub fare served at higher-end prices. I will likely give it one more chance.”

“I have tried the Jerk chicken, ox tail and the ribs.. all amazing. I am normally a huge fan of smoked BBQ. Low and slow. But this place does their ribs right! It's not low and slow but I don't care. It's amazing. Not dried oilut and great grilled flavor. Rice/peas and plantains are all pretty average but what makes the place so stand out are the proteins! The jerk sauce isn't too spicy but they can make it really spicy if you like.. All in all. Awesome food if you are in the mood for some Jamaican food. Owners are super nice also.”

“I go here frequently,most staff is very nice, but one employee is horrible, rude. 1st she chumps on here gum waiting on customers, 2nd, shes very confrontational argues with the customer in front of employees and customers. She wants to charge more for getting less. ie: I ask for either no sauce or very light sauce, she wants to charge more...Have you ever heard such a thing? , I'm more than happy to pay more for something she's also SUPPOSED TO BE A SHIFT LEADER? “We arrived approximately at 5pm on a Friday. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated shortly afterwards. The atmosphere was cozy, there was ample seating with plenty of window views. A bar is on the premise, with a stage for a live jazz band which they have occasionally. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, creatively named after areas in New York, entrees were reasonably priced. We ordered jerk chicken, and ox tail dinners. We also had adult beverages which were appropriately mixed. We were satisfied with the portions, and the way the food was seasoned. I will recommend this venue to friends and family.”
