Milan's Real Philly Cheesesteaks and Hoagies

I was excited to try and was not disappointed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere and energy was inviting and warm. I felt welcomed.

The wait wasn’t bad, as I can appreciate the small and medium-sized business flow. They were busy and handling it well.

I ordered a fish steak with peppers, fried onions, ketchup, mayo, salt & pepper. Sandwich was packed with fish and the ingredients on the sandwich. The large was very filling. I ate it across two meals. I’ll definitely be back and will be telling people about it. Great experience.

This place needs more recognition and they just opened! 10/10 best cheesesteak/Food in delaware. Coming from somebody out of state. Nice genuine people making good mouth watering filling food. KEEP it UP ! Much love.

Okay so this is a 3 star because it’s a joint review. I have one experience and my husband another so i had to find balance. We were excited to try this place because my husband is from Philly and cannot stand any cheesesteak he has had in Delaware. He always picks one up when he goes back to his city. So he is very critical of any place claiming to serve a Philly cheesesteak.

His experience: he wanted me to give a 1 star equivalent to a D rating. He said there was no balance between meat & bread. Not enough ketchup or Mayo or flavor (he ended up adding more of both at home). His bread was ultra soggy and the meat wasn’t chopped up, he had too many long pieces. He did get a lot of meat but he says too much meat will dog the bread and throw off the balance. Also not enough friend onions for him. He didn’t eat his second half of the cheesesteak.

My experience: I gave it a 4 stars for myself. I got a cheesesteak hoagie but it was missing the lettuce, tomato, pickles. Bummed me out a bit cuz I always get that on my cheesesteaks (I love veggies). I think there was a miscommunication, I thought it automatically came on it when i said I’ll take the cheesesteak hoagie and then listed other add ons I wanted. Maybe it doesn’t? So my other add ons were sweet pepper and friend onions and ketchup. I also had crab fries. Once I noticed it was crinkle fries I was a little hesitant because I don’t crinkle fries at all. Anywho, I actually enjoyed my food. I ate all my fries and really enjoyed them. My cheesesteak was really good. I appreciate them cooking and chopping up the sweet peppers in the meat because other places will just throw it on top which is what I was expecting. For myself, the total was a bit pricey. I paid $45 total for two cheesesteaks, two fries, and two drinks. I was actually expecting to pay $10-$12 less than that price point. I was filled up after eating my fries and half my cheesesteak….I’m allowing it to settle to eat the other half. Freaking BANGINN!! this is the best cheesesteak I've had in awhile I'm so excited it just opened right down the street from me. I could make another sandwich with how much meat they put on it. Will definitely be back 🤤
