This is a pretty good brewery. Where they really shine is their beer. Tried the “One Giant Leap” and thoroughly enjoyed every drop. The service is exceptional and I enjoyed the ambiance.
The food could do for a little bit of tweaking. It seemed a tad overpriced for what you get. I ordered the half rack of ribs and while they were good, there was WAY too much BBQ sauce slathered on after the ribs are cooked. They also were a little bit overcooked. Still palatable though, and I would have them again. The baked beans and coleslaw that came as a side? Nothing wrong with that. In fact, some of the best I’ve had in recent memory.
If I ever come back to the area in the future, this would be a potential place for me to stop and eat again.
Visited for the first time. I will definitely be back. The atmosphere is warm and inviting inside, a play set out side and 2 beer gardens outdoors. The food was excellent and the beer had something across a wide variety of tastes. The service was just wonderful and prompt. A true 5 star experience for me
Ducked in with the sis, Cousin Mike and Cousin Karen during Thanksgiving week and it was a 5-Star experience, here's why:
* Excellent service--lots of hostesses, bartenders, and wait staff
* Cutie servers and bartenders
* Distinctive decor--Instagram crack
* Lots of stuff outside for the bratty brats to play on
* Spared now expense on lighting and decor highlights, impressive!
* Brewery! We didn't drink beers. It was a liquor party.
* Ally was our bartender and did a fine job
* I love the branded glassware!
So the 4 of us sampled the following:
1. Loaded Nachos--SCORE!
2. Flash Fried Avocado Bites--Total HIT! I love avocados and never seen them prepared this way. I dug them. What really made them special, besides the finesse that it takes to not ruin the avocado whilst encasing it in a crispy, fried outer shell was the dipping sauce. It was like a spicy Sriracha blend. NOM NOM NOM.
3. Edamame Hummus---I wanted to love this soooo bad, but, alas, El No! The hummus is too pasty (see close up pic), not smooth enough, and missing a little something some'n. Maybe some cream cheese? Maybe a little ranch? Maybe some of that aforementioned spicy Sriracha sauce? I don't know, but I am sure CHB will get it straightened out.
It is clear that professionals are running this operation. Kudos!
See you there next time, be back in May to see how the hummus has evolved and pound, I mean sample my way through their beer selection.
Until then....
Cabeza OUT!
Good food, fun atmosphere. The Lewes location is definitely more of our style, beach wise - everything is better but still an O.K addition to Middletown, DE.
Great atmosphere. Food was very good, for the most part. Not a great quantity of protein added to Caesar salad (chicken or salmon), baked beans a major disappointment (too much bbq sauce, not enough beans). BLT was very good with a good amount of bacon. Great beer selection, enjoyed several. Will be back.
