Stopped by the David Finney Inn, or DFI Cafe, while walking around Old New Castle. Prompt service. There’s a sitting room just behind the counter that is amazingly comfortable.
Great staff and exceptional service. Food is awesome, and I highly recommend their burgers. Every other Thursday is karaoke night and they have friendly, supportive guests there. It's always a good time no matter when you visit.
The appetizers are fantastic. Every main course is excellent. The scallops were the best we've ever had. The drink selection is great. They have some new mixed drinks that are worth trying. For example everyone who enters should try the "Sonora 75". They also have a rhubarb rickey gin drink certainly worth giving a shot. My medium rare for two steak was perfect and to die for. Also the key lime pie was the best.
Our reservation at another local place was bumped. We went to Sonora and they were extremely accomodating. They could not have been nicer. The meals were excellent and the setting was perfect . They saved our anniversary celebration
Diverse and original cuisine with a cozy and friendly atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor seating available, along with private dining rooms decorated with paintings from local artists. The staff is friendly and attentive as well as knowledgeable about the food & drinks. Definitely a place to visit in historic New Castle.
