Nice authentic Peruvian food. Located in the middle of everything. Very simple design inside.
Popular for lunch and brunch in UDEL students community. Price is right for the food you are getting.
I have been here twice now in the past few weeks, and I absolutely regret not coming sooner! All of the food is absolutely delicious, and the drinks are perfect. The owner is very sweet and came around our first time there to ask how everything was going and help when our service was slow. My only complaint is the waitstaff--both times I visited we've had mediocre service (waitress at the bar talking to friends, waiter at the bar watching basketball, neither coming around to see what we need or give the check...). But it's worth it for the best Peruvian chicken around!
Rotisserie chicken was excellent. So we're the Tasty Potatoes appetizer. I never had anything like that before. That could be a main dish with the right sides.
I did not care for the "Corn Bread" (I think that's what it was called). It had a consistency of rice pudding, and had raisins in it. It was ok but not at all what I was expecting and I should have been warned about it. Also, the sangria was questionable. I am under the impression that the fruit in Sangria was supposed to be soaked in the alcohol. My wife and I questioned if there was any alcohol at all in the drink.
Everything was just amazing at this restaurant. The whole rotisserie chicken was so juicy and soft. The rice wasn’t dry! It was flavorful and tasty. The aroma was nice and so was the music. The 3 dipping sauces were nice too but what they call the red / hottest sauce wasn’t hot at all, but everyone’s taste buds are different.
Pachamama has amazing food! Their chicken tastes so good that I've never needed the sauces they include! Their fries, fried plantains, and roasted potatoes are all really really yummy! It is a little pricey, but definitely a good treat every once in a while!
