Eggspectation

We called to ask if they take reservations (they don’t) and the phone was answered by a person who desperately needs training on phone skills. Could not be understood at all. I was not even sure I had called the right place. Suggest management CALL their own restaurant and see if they can understand this person. You only get one chance to make a first impression. If the person answering the phone is this Ill trained what does that indicate about management and staff? We decided to try somewhere else. Tom Davis -Maintenance Troubleshooting. (Engineering Firm)

AMAZING!!!!!! I can't tell you how great this place is!!!! They have the best shrimp and grits I have had since I moved up from the south. I enjoyed it so much that I went for breakfast with a girlfriend and then returned later that same night for dinner with the boyfriend and another couple. The manager and staff was welcoming and extremely friendly. You need to check out Daniella at the bar if you go. She's amazing from fast and friendly service to the strong drinks she can mix. So you need to stop in and ask to sit in her section, you won't be steered wrong in food or drink suggestions.

Awesome food great service and a very friendly staff. The manager was walking around making sure everyone meal was right and everyone was enjoying the meal.

First time here. Nice spacious and clean restaurant/bar. Menu is extensive and variety of foods to choose. Breakfast tacos were tasty and portion adequate. Expectation Omelette was alright (beware, doesn't come with a toast) If you order a toast, is $1.49!! Way overpriced for a single slice!

I am not a photographer, so the food pic that accompanies this review does not do this dish justice. But let me tell you, I have had shrimp and grits at other restaurants and they pale in relation to Shrimp and Grits at Eggspectation!! I love food and good food even more. This dish was over the top with flavor, texture, and deliciousness!! The grits were smooth and creamy with a hint of cheesiness. The sauce that covered this dish was reminiscent of gumbo and the shrimp were cooked perfectly!! My daughter had waffles that were covered with strawberries and a caramel sauce which was tasty also. The funniest thing was my granddaughter, who is 2 1/2 years old and a picky eater. We ordered the kids Mac and Cheese for her and she not only finished the bowl but tried to eat all of the cheese and creamy goodness from the bottom of the bowl. Yes, even the kids Mac and Cheese was a winner! Round of applause for Eggspectation! ???????????????????????? I hope they keep up the good work and thanks for bringing something good to DE.
