Some of the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever experienced; appreciated how the stews were served in individual bowls and you could use the injera to scoop them, as I’d only been to places that ladle the stew directly onto the injera, making it hard to ration out. Delicious spiced tea, the cinnamon/cardamom/cloves were the perfect stomach-warmers for the food to come. Staff were wonderfully friendly and there was a birthday happening for which the entire restaurant chimed in. Some street parking but there’s parking garages next door for Target and other large department/grocery stores. Would gladly stop at every time I visit DC!
Place is great. Good locations. Super sexy restaurant. The design is beautiful. It’s comfy and artistic. Their coffees are great too.
Food quality is incredible, and noticably better than many of the Ethiopian spots around town. They've also done a commendable job sprucing up a drab storefront, feels warm and homey inside. Coffee was also legit.
Good food! Two mushroom dishes! The only problem with this menu is: they have nine veggie dishes (other than salads) and the biggest sampler they sell is *four*. I ordered two samplers and skipped the carrot wot, but as a rule I love a six-dish sampler. Anyway, it's clunky for ordering but the food really is good!
This was our first time having Ethiopian and we were completely blown away by the flavors! Everything was SO delicious and SO fresh. The staff was very kind and accommodating of food sensitivities. My mom loved that they offered a gluten free injera. We absolutely cannot wait to come back here again!
