Food was on point and the staff was very attentive and polite! We arrived at around 6:45 on a Saturday and had placed reservations for 7:00, but they were able to seat us upon arrival so we didn't have to wait. The atmosphere is cozy and they really don't have a dress code, I mean just dress appropriately (I was able to wear jeans with some tears and a button up long sleeve shirt). At about 8:00 the restaurant definitely started getting busier as I noticed most of the tables and bar area became full. The restaurant can definitely get noisy, but nothing unbearable and definitely wouldn't let that stop you from enjoying this place. I would definitely recommend trying this place for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
Great food and excellent service. We had a large group in for a business trip and the staff went out of their way to take care of us. Hand made pasta was delicious.
Interesting space. Awesome food. Will be back whether with friends again or visiting family. Want to try their downstairs bar called Dive for happy hour too.
Amazing!
I was in DC for thanksgiving and I ended up there in the last minute
They had a prix fixed 3-course meal which was superb
I had the polenta with mushrooms as a starter.
As the main course, I had the rib eye. It was a very nice portion, cooked to perfection
To finish with, I tried their pumpkin pie, which was also very tasty
It was an amazing meal at a very nice environment. Also, staff is extremely friendly!
A must go in Washington!
As a side note, yes, they also offered the traditional turkey for thanksgiving, but I am a meat lover, so I skipped this one!
We were a party of four and decided to try the Darlington House for Italian food the day before my wife ran the Marine Corp Marathon. We didn’t have reservations so we were seated in the bar downstairs. The bar was very noisy and the atmosphere was definitely different from the main dining room upstairs. However, our dining experience took an upturn with the very professional and friendly service provided by our outstanding server Tania. Tania was very attentive and contributed to a very enjoyable meal, which turned out to be one of the best we’ve had in a while. Thumbs up to Darlington House and kudos to Tania!
