Pete's New Haven Style Apizza

Product quality is very good, customer service is good, and general vibe is good. Favoite item, Pete's Original Pie with Fresh Pineapple and Pepporoni; favorite time to visit, between 2 and 4 P.M. (everyone is more relaxed and food is being prepared for the evening). Parking is not bad if you do not mind walking a block or two from a side street parking spot.

Awesome place, first time when I visited here with my friends, they greeted us well and served pizza. We really enjoyed and often visited here. I really love this place. This is one of the perfect place for pizza party.

Very good pizza, minestrone soup, and bread.

Update: went back 2 more times. Pasta mediocre at best. Seems like it is hot or miss.

Great New Haven style pizza, best to have on site. Doesn't travel nor reheat as well as when eaten fresh from the oven. A very popular neighborhood place and they know it. No reservations, often a wait and no frills dining room, but there is no other pizza of this style in D.C..

First time, I always start with the plain cheese pizza to try.The crust was crispy, the top was very well balanced. I could really taste the tomato in the sause. Good amount of sauce and cheese on the top. So, I will definitely come back to try some more.

Now, we went back, asked for half cheese and the other half is with pulled pork and mushroom. (They use fresh mushroom, not canned ones )
The crust was crispy, the meaty part well balanced. Now, there is a but. Because they forgot about me and did not call my name when it was ready. It was already cold when I arrived home with it.
I was really disappointed because of it.
When I complained, the guy only said, I understand.
