Mastro's Steakhouse

This place is a rare find and jem in DC. It has all the fixings that you would look for in a truly classic entertaining environment. The cascade of music that overflows as you walk in Is truly inviting. Jazz and updated current music along with a piano player and singer make it just right, the drinks are very generous too on top of the classy setting.
I don’t have to match and the food because it is truly one of the best you’ll find in the city.

We came here because one of our friend recommended. They have live music every night. The lady singing last night, Elle, had a very warm voice and did great rendition of the many pop regulars. So the was very fun. The food however is over priced for the portion. We had a tomahawk but it's 1/2 the size of the usual tomahawk we're used to. But this was not the reason we decided on 4 vs 5 stars. The actual reason was that the drinks are too sweet and a some of the dishes we had was too salty. Overall, we will be back but will make the point to ask the servers to tone down on those certain dishes and drinks we enjoyed.

I had a wonderful experience. Chris F. took care of my best friend and I and the experience was amazing. Everything was prepared to perfection. The pacing of the food was amazing. As a previous serever I couldn’t have been more blown away. Every need was met before I even thought about it. Blown away. I will be back.

Excellent customer service and the food to match. Expect to pay a pretty penny but this place is great for special occasions. Had a boneless rib eye with a flavor that's unmatched! The one thing I'd skip is the signature butter cake...it was overly sweet and pretty dry.. maybe it was an off night for the pastry chef *shrugs*.
