So so good. You can tell it is true Ethiopian because there were a ton of Ethiopians that were coming in. The food was extremely delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Great Ethiopian food with great value to compare with other restaurants. It’s fresh and fast service they provide. Keep it up the good work.
I must say I've eaten Ethiopian cuisine in many places. Hands down this is the BEST!!The ambience is nice and the staff are friendly . If you haven't been here before this a must.
I’ve been coming repeatedly to this place for nearly 6 years. It’s truly an authentic joint with high quality gourmet dishes for a reasonable price. And amazingly, the food has stayed consistent: always freshly prepared, clean taste, yet rich with spices.
Service: is standard. After all, it’s not a fancy or high class restaurant, but a neighborhood joint.
Taste: top notch. I always order the Goden tips (deep fried beef rip that doesn’t really taste deep fried by rather air fried). Highly recommend. But if you’re vegetarian, they have lots of options (including fish).
Atmosphere: fast-casual for an inner-city. Not super comfortable tables/seats, but they get the job done. You still can manage to socialize for a bit. They also serve beer (Ethiopian).
Parking: street meter parking only with limited lot parking around the corner (on U street and 9th. . If you drive though, it can be a hassle to locate a nearby available parking spot by the curb.
Nonetheless, it’s worth the headache for me at least. I’ve tried a number of other Ethiopian restaurants, but nothing beats this one in the quality of food.
Best late night non-american food place round U st. It's gaining popularity has slowed down dining times but it's all worth the wait. It's first come first serve dining areas so don't be rude if you can't find a spot. If you do find a spot make sure you clean up after yourself. It is expected.
I love bringing people here for the first time. My favorite is the veggie platter. It's perfect for sharing.
