The Coupe

I’ve been to The Coupe twice on my trips to DC! Wonderful food both times. I love supporting local businesses and this is one to support for sure!

The most alluring part of the coupe is that it is whatever you need it to be. It's a breakfast diner when you are craving a warm breakfast on the weekends in winter. It's the place to meet friends for happy hour after a long day on the job. It's the place meet up for late night coffee to talk when life is going hard. It's the place for everyone. With it's simplified menu and extended hours, there is no occasion the coupe can't handle.

The food is good too.

The Couple is a great place to meet up with some friends at any time of the day. The drinks and food are fairly priced and always good. They have smaller tables with cozy seating that you can post up at to do some computer work. There's a welcome vibe about the place, I always look forward to going here and suggest them to friends whenever possible.

Good coffee. Decent beer selection. Vegan and non-vegan options. I think they recently stopped 24-hour availability.
Good place for families and small groups alike. Parking in the area can be brutal during busy times.

I went with a friend for dinner. The food was very good but some of it was on the greasy side. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful with our menu choices. They immediately fixed what came out incorrect. We stayed long past paying the check (on a quiet night) and they never pressured us to leave, they kept filling our water glasses. I liked that the music was never too loud and we were able to talk comfortably all evening.
