Room 11

Best craft cocktails around. Excellent food with small menu.

Room 11 is my neighborhood fancy cocktail bar and I couldn't be happier with it. They have a fantastic rotating list of cocktails. When it's nice out, sitting on the patio and enjoying a cocktail is one of my favorite things to do in Columbia Heights.

The food is pricey, but very good if you're in the mood for dinner.

Excellent cocktails and a fantastic whiskey list. I cannot overstate how good the cocktails are. Novel, complex, and nowhere near sweet (unless that's what you want.) Great bartenders, too. The space is a bit cramped, but don't let that turn you off, there's outdoor seating when the weather cooperates.

Good place to hang out with friends, they also have outdoor seating in summer. My mojito was alright, but the staff is friendly and accommodating. It was great fun. Try the grilled cheese sandwich!

Been here many times, never disappointed (well, except when they are so busy I couldn't even get a drink!) Great food from brunch to dinner/dessert... Cocktails are seasonal and delicious. It's a small space, so take that into consideration when heading there. Thankfully they have a good sized outdoor patio open in good weather (great for people watching) which doubles their capacity. Highly recommend.
