Pros:
Food was great!
They have unique dishes that you only find in India.
Service was good.

Cons:
Some items are not similar to the original Indian dishes they claim to be.
Tables were too close to each other (as is the case with many other DC restaurants).

This is such a good restaurant! The food is top notch. My favorite dish (and I’ve tried many on their menu) is the chicken korma, it’s DELICIOUS!!!

Pappe just raised the bar. DC has great Indian food options. Pappe is now probably the best Indian food restaurant in DC. The atmosphere and service make it a great day night option. Every dish we ordered was excellent and possibly the best version of each dish we have ever had. I will be back to try more stuff on the menu. Also the drinks were great also.

Can't say I was impressed. We made reservations weeks in advance for 8. We were put at a booth for 6 that was so tight we had to use our arms like tyrannosaurus rex. Plus there was a constant drip from pipes above that we were packed too tightly to avoid. It hit our food, drinks, and heads. GM was no help. He just said they were too busy to do anything about it. Food was good. Not special but good. I'd post a picture of my sister looking like something out of The Handmaid's Tale with her napkin on her head to avoid the condensation stream if this format would let me.
