Ristorante La Perla of Washington

This is a very nice restaurant for a special occasion. The service was great. The owner is an adorable little gnome who comes to every table. The limoncello is homemade as is everything else. Perfect for Valentine's day.

Wonderful menu. There was so much on it that I wanted to try that I'm just going to have to come back again when I'm in town. Cozy atmosphere with music but not too loud so you can carry on a comfortable conversation. Waiters were great and provided wonderful service and were very attentive to our needs. I had ravioli stuffed with roast beef and four cheese in a cream and tomato soup sauce I believe and it was amazing.

Hope I am able to get back again to try some of their other menu items.

Very special place. I hosted an important event there for a very dear person to me and her family and they took the event as seriously as I did. From the warm greeting to my guests to their kind and helpful interaction through the night, their rich menu... everything was perfect. Very professional and friendly staff. I will remember this beautiful place and the evening we had there.

The best Italian in all of D.C. A restaurant where the chef wants to hear your opinions and takes them seriously into consideration. The staff is excellent. The food is fresh, well prepared and served in a manner that is not too slow or too fast. I highly recommend the Chicken Sinatra.

Overall good experience. Don’t let the appearance deter you. It looks fancy, but reasonably priced for Georgetown (but on the pricier side compared to typical Italian restaurants). This place does tend to draw a number of college kids, which may or may not be your cup of tea. I learned that the pasta wasn’t made from scratch, so the experience wasn’t truly authentic. The sauces were made from scratch. The taste was good, but nothing spectacular. Service was a bit slow and the server kept trying to pressure me into getting additional food items I didn’t want. What really made my first experience memorable was that the owner/chef personally came out to see how I liked my meal and insisted I try one of his favorite pastas on the house.
