I like Ethiopian food, and don't think there's that much difference between one Ethiopian restaurant and another. That said, Das is pretty good. Sambussas are crisp, flaky and full of lentils, the servers make sure you have plenty of injera bread. The service is good overall. They have a cottage cheese appetizer I haven't seen elsewhere.
If you love Ethiopian cuisine this is a must. Cool atmosphere and split over two levels. Reasonably priced imho.
First experience of Ethiopian food which was very interesting. We each ordered a dish and they were good, except the spare ribs needed to be cooked better as meat did not fall off bone. First and last time eating this type of food, but was very interesting.
I have eaten at several of the excellent Ethiopian restaurants in DC. I tried this one for the first time recently and it is now my favorite. It's in a great location, the prices are good, the staff was excellent, it's in a very charming atmosphere. And the food is great. Will go back whenever I am in town.
My first time trying Ethiopian cuisine and I loved it! I don't live in DC,but the next time I'm in town, I'm going. The flavors were balanced and full. Spicy yet not overly so. The staff were friendly and made great suggestions. Lovely establishment. Thanks for a wonderful new experience.
