Masala Story

This is absolutely a hidden gem in DC. The food is absolutely phenomenal, the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet with a neighborhood vibe, while still having a great beer selection and very warm, welcoming service. Worth the trip out of your neighborhood!

Delicious!! Make sure to leave room for the Ras malai dessert, it's super tasty. If you want it extra spicy just let them know when you order, they're quite flexible with spice level. Big portion sizes and friendly, casual atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

Good Indian food. Not very hot but a lot of flavor. Easy take out as well as sit down.

This place is a gem. Menu is extensive and filled with some great deals, not necessarily cheap but a real value for quality and quantity. Its counter service so no need to tip yet still a very comfortable and warm environment. Definitely nice enough to take a date. They have cool kids table with toys and games so really family friendly as well. Everyone who I interacted with was super polite and friendly.

Great food but also great staff. Our toddler was not having it after we sat down. The host and bartender helped out by entertaining him and giving him candy (not something we normally approve of, but screaming toddler). My wife also left her wallet there and they tried to chase after us, but we had left. They had it waiting for us when we came back.

Really felt welcome and taken care of. And again, great food!
