My wife and I had a delicious lunch here on a recent DC visit.
Our Pit Beef "sanitches" were a savory delight! The hand cut fries were to die for.
Add to this the awesome tempora onion rings with "tiger sauce" and an incredible lunch was had.
There was a excellent, rustic bistro-bar atmosphere along with good and courteous service that complimented our dining experience very well.
One of my favorite watering holes in the city! Love the staff. All the apps are bomb! Always some great funky specials. Chef Shannon knows what she's doing
I LOVED this place when I was in DC! The breakfast was delicious and fresh.
I really appreciated the fact that they have a late night menu. It was only a few blocks away from the place we were staying, which made it convenient for a late night snack. Our server was very friendly and sociable. I’ll definitely be returning when I’m in the area!
In my opinion, this is the best place to eat in Brookland. The food is solid, not a ton of choices, but everything on the menu is good. Good beers, good cocktails, great brunch. Service is reliably good. Bf is not going to blow you away or be super trendy and hip, but you always be sure to have good food, drinks, and service. I also do pick-up, take-out, which they prepare very quickly (10-15 minutes) and the food is packed carefully. Tastes almost as good at home as it did in the restaurant!
Dined here with my coworkers and we left stuffed. This is a hidden gem in the NE area. Loved the rustic home vibe here. All you get here are innovative flavors with some wholesome comfort food. My coworkers and I ordered the lamb shank, salmon kale salad, colonel burger, deviled eggs, soup of the day- squash/ apple soup,
The lamb shank fell off the bone. The mashed potatoes and mashed potatoes were no joke. The salmon was delicious and grilled perfectly. The onion rings that came with the burger were huge. As big as the bun. If you're a fan of onion rings this is a must order.
My coworkers were very pleased with our service and food. Lunch portions are generous and I think we all took something home. If your in the area looking for some delicious comfort food this is the spot!
