Rappahannock Oyster Bar (Wharf)

Great oysters, friendly staff. Definitely going back.

Their grilled oysters were superb, and the atmosphere was unique (we sat at the bar and got to watch how the oysters were prepared). Overall the service was top class (my glass of water was promptly refilled every time it got low), but our order came way after the order of others that came after us (similar dish) and the main server did not check on us until we asked if something had happened to our meal.

Came in for lunch and had a hard time leaving. Got the chowder and burger combo. The chowder was off the charts delicious. Tons of clams and that Breton bacon was the perfect accent. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. Our delightful bartender (sorry, I can't remember her name) recommended the banana pudding for dessert. I left, a nicely full and very happy guest. This will not be my last time here!

Good music, nice ambiance, and tasty oysters. Indoors, there are seats around the bar. Outdoors there are tables under heat lamps. HH is inside and outside until 6pm. Pics include the oyster po boy and cheeseburger.

This place is awesome. The food is divine. It started out over at Union Market and has expanded over to include its new, fabulous, Wharf location in the old, historic oyster shed.

They have created a beautiful space, with great food and cocktails. But - don’t go! I want it to myself!!! Cheerios!
