Phenomenal experience here, even as a vegetarian. (Their mushroom forest? So. Absolutely. Amazing.) All the staff was incredibly knowledgable about the food and ready with recommendations; they clearly seem to enjoy the food, atmosphere, and work environment. It's pricey, but more than worth it for a luxurious treat.
Our meals were good, however, not great! Kith and Kin have an opportunity to master preparing duck... The crab curry appetizer was very salty as well... We may reconsider after it's been open for a couple of years.
A swanky upscale restaurant located in the intercontinental hotel at the wharf. The general gist of the menu is an African/Caribbean fusion. I like the ambiance and vibe. We ordered the oxtails and jerk chicken both of which were really top notch meals. The portions were generous and the flavors were good. It did take a while for our food to come out but I fathom that it’s pretty busy here especially on a Friday night. It is a pricey menu but again, it’s an upscale restaurant. I enjoyed my experience here and will be returning at some point.
A fancy Afro/Jamaican fusion restaurant in DC. It’s the perfect place for a date or group dinners with friends or work colleagues. It’s somewhat on the expensive side so do keep that in mind. It was hard for us to find parking on a Saturday night but when we finally did it was totally worth it. I recommend you ride-share.
The Chef apparently was featured on Top Chef and has a kiosk in Whole-foods (this is not common).
I absolutely love this restaurant - the food is incredible. The Afro Caribbean menu is so on point! Every time I go I order the Red Snapper as my main entree and it never disappoints. The wine list is top notch along with their cocktails. I rely on this restaurant for entertaining friends and family, date night, birthday celebrations and after work drinks.
